Mark Nelsen is the Chief Product Officer for Visa¡¯s Commercial & Money Movement Solutions. Mark oversees product development that helps people, businesses, and governments move money quickly and safely. He leads global product strategy for commercial credentials, digital money movement, and secure B2B payments.
He has been with Visa for more than 20 years. Most recently Mark was Chief Product Officer for Visa¡¯s Consumer Payments, helping launch Visa Intelligent Commerce and Flex Credentials. Prior to that, Mark led Visa¡¯s open banking strategy and has also led teams across core platforms, new technologies, and product innovation. Mark played a key role in launching services like Visa Advanced Authorization, Visa Risk Manager, Visa Token Service, and Visa Secure.
Mark also supports Visa¡¯s work in digital wallets, biometrics, and open banking. His leadership helps the company deliver modern and trusted payment tools across industries.
Mark graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in industrial engineering. He lives in New York with his partner and enjoys spending time on their boat off Long Island.
